This has been the toughest year for me so far.

The 2020 BRDC British Formula 3 season was my second full season in a championship, and it didn’t come together as a result of issues within and outside of my control.

The Covid-19 pandemic and living with a high-risk individual resulted in my normal routine being thrown out even whilst restrictions were relaxed, and I was unable to do as much prep work as many drivers were.

However, I can say that I learnt a lot this season. I gained more racing experience, I learnt how to push a car and do what I could with the equipment I had, and I learnt how to handle myself during a bad season. It’s easy when you are winning all the time, but how you respond on bad days is equally important.

Despite the year not going as planned, I think it has made me a better and a more mentally prepared driver. I needed this experience and I would rather have had it now, than later in my career.

I am ready for the challenges that lie ahead.
